Fans of the iconic TV judge’s sharp humor, assertive demeanor, and no-nonsense attitude are in for a treat. The trailer showcases Levy exuding a similar courtroom vigor, delivering sharp and witty remarks from the bench that would surely make his mother, Judith Sheindlin, proud.
Interestingly, Sheindlin initially had reservations about passing on the judicial torch. In the preview, she humorously confesses that she wouldn’t have encouraged her son to take on the show years ago because she wasn’t ready to relinquish her role. She jokingly expressed reluctance at the idea of him surpassing her talent.
The upcoming series, produced by Sheindlin herself, is scheduled to debut on September 14. This launch follows the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” show after a successful 25-season run on CBS, where it held the top spot as a first-run syndicated program with an average of 10 million viewers per episode.
