“2025 Recap: Memorable Moments and Surprising Twists”

In 2025, various noteworthy events unfolded, all captured by diligent photographers. From Donald Trump’s exuberant celebration with Chelsea players to Dame Andrea Jenkyns’ glittery and unconventional appearance at Reform’s conference, the year was filled with memorable moments.

One significant incident occurred at the G7 summit when the US President accidentally dropped some files, prompting the Prime Minister to assist in picking them up. Another striking image portrayed Kemi Badenoch visiting Carver Barracks in Essex, creating a tense atmosphere for a nearby soldier.

At the Tory Conference, Shadow Justice Secretary Robert Jenrick passionately discussed judicial matters, while Dame Andrea Jenkyns made a dazzling entrance at Reform UK’s conference, performing a song she had written in her youth in a glittery jumpsuit.

During The Mirror’s renowned party at Labour’s conference, Cabinet members Wes Streeting and Lisa Nandy, along with former Labour MP Jonathan Ashworth, showcased their vocal talents. Meanwhile, the Tory conference saw a sparse audience during major speeches, indicating less attendance.

In a surprising turn of events, former Reform MP Rupert Lowe was happily reunited with his previously seized gun collection in August after allegations were made against him. Additionally, the annual Westminster Dog of the Year show brought smiles as MPs, including Labour’s David Burton-Sampson with his Dalmatian Lotti, competed with their pets.

During a family outing, Boris Johnson’s colorful language was captured after being bitten by an ostrich. Nigel Farage’s political camp welcomed former Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries, enhancing their ranks with her presence. Tory conference festivities were uplifted by Kemi Badenoch’s spirited rendition of “Sweet Caroline” in the bar.

In August, David Lammy and US Vice President JD Vance shared a friendly fishing trip at Chevening House, the Foreign Secretary’s summer residence. However, it was later revealed that Mr. Lammy should have obtained a fishing license for the excursion.

Notably, Donald Trump’s peculiar behavior included celebrating with Chelsea players during the club World Cup victory, raising questions about future interactions during the 2026 international events. London saw protests against granting Trump a second state visit, reflecting mixed reactions to his presence.

Lastly, the Prime Minister issued an apology to a headteacher after inadvertently encouraging primary school children to participate in the viral 6-7 dance craze, marking a lighthearted yet apologetic conclusion to the year.
