Jordan North, a runner-up on “I’m A Celebrity,” has revealed that he is deaf in one ear due to an incident from his childhood. The 35-year-old radio presenter shared this information on a recent podcast with Chris and Rosie Ramsey, along with his friend and fellow podcaster William Hanson.
During the podcast, William mentioned that he had to adjust his seating position to accommodate Jordan’s hearing impairment in one ear. This revelation surprised the hosts, prompting them to inquire about the cause of his deafness.
Jordan explained that he lost hearing in his right ear when he was around 12 or 13 years old. He recounted an incident where his ear burst while he was putting his bike away in the shed, leading to a burst blood vessel due to his frustration.
Despite needing a hearing aid, Jordan admitted that he rarely uses it. This story left the hosts astonished, with Chris describing it as “unbelievable.” Jordan mentioned receiving feedback from an ear specialist who disagreed with his account but ultimately confirmed the incident.
Recently, Jordan expressed feeling convinced that comedian Josh Widdicombe harbored animosity towards him after a tense encounter. During a radio show with Chris Stark and Sian Welby, Jordan shared his long-standing concern about Josh’s dislike for him, though he didn’t want to appear overly needy.
Chris and Sian devised a plan to playfully convince Jordan that Josh secretly disliked him. This led to humorous interactions between Josh and Jordan, ultimately revealing that Josh had received a message instructing him to act rudely towards Jordan.
The light-hearted exchange concluded with Jordan jokingly confirming his suspicions about Josh’s feelings.
