Bradley Walsh has acknowledged that as he gets older, accomplishing a personal goal he set for himself by 2026 is proving to be more challenging. The host of The Chase shared his personal reflections during a joint interview with his son, Barney Walsh, who co-hosts the BBC’s Gladiators reboot, premiering tonight.
As the year 2026 unfolds, the father-son duo discussed their resolutions. Bradley, showing enthusiasm, confirmed having set goals while Barney encouraged him to pursue them.
Back in 2022, reports surfaced about the 65-year-old shedding a significant amount of weight and adjusting his diet after being warned by a doctor about his high risk of heart problems.
Health remains a top priority for Bradley, as he expressed his desire to improve his fitness and slim down due to the challenges of aging. Seeking advice from the Gladiators, he highlighted his efforts to eat better and reduce intake of certain foods.
Despite his health goals, Bradley humorously admitted to having cakes, chocolates, and sugary drinks in his dressing room, along with Haribo snacks that he considers essential, though he emphasized the importance of balance in his diet.
Concerns about heart disease stem from Bradley’s father passing away from the condition at 59, making reaching the age of 60 a significant milestone for him. To enhance his health and weight, he avoided fatty foods and alcohol, recognizing the urgency of improving his fitness to mitigate health risks.
You can watch Bradley on Gladiators tonight on BBC One from 5:45 pm to 6:45 pm.
