Robbie Williams Surprises Fans with Early Album Drop

Robbie Williams surprised fans by releasing his latest album, BRITPOP, three weeks ahead of schedule. The unexpected drop occurred early Friday morning, with the album cover displayed on iconic London buildings in a celebratory gesture.

Originally planned for October 10, 2025, Robbie moved the release date to February 6, 2026, avoiding a clash with Taylor Swift’s album to secure a shot at the number one spot. This new album, his 13th studio effort, showcases Robbie exploring guitar-heavy arrangements inspired by his early solo career.

In a statement announcing the early release, Robbie expressed excitement, stating, “You thought it was gonna be then… then we decided it wasn’t… and now I’ve decided it’s now. Ladies and Gentlemen: BRITPOP – the album.”

Following his previous albums, “The Christmas Present” in 2019 and “The Heavy Entertainment Show” in 2016, BRITPOP includes tracks like Rocket, Spies, Human, Pretty Face, and All My Life.

Featuring collaborations with notable artists such as Chris Martin from Coldplay, Gaz Coombes, Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath, Jesse and Joy, and former Take That bandmate Gary Barlow, the album boasts a diverse lineup of contributors.

Robbie shared that BRITPOP fulfills his long-held dream of creating an album since his departure from Take That in 1995, capturing the essence of the Britpop era in a more guitar-driven and anthemic style.

If BRITPOP secures the number one spot, Robbie will tie The Beatles’ record for the most UK chart-topping albums. The album’s release conveniently coincides with an upcoming Netflix documentary about Take That, featuring archive footage of Robbie with the band.
