Two teenagers have been taken into custody following a violent incident where a young individual was stabbed and another person was assaulted in a serene neighborhood.
Law enforcement officers swiftly responded to a distress call reporting an intrusion by two individuals armed with a knife at a residence in Cotmanhay, situated near Ilkeston, Derbyshire, during the evening hours on Tuesday. Upon arrival, they discovered a teenage boy with a stab wound who was promptly transported to a medical facility for treatment. Fortunately, medical professionals anticipate a full recovery for the victim.
Additionally, a man in his twenties sustained a minor knife injury on his hand during the altercation. Subsequently, two teenage boys, aged 17 and 19, were apprehended on suspicion of committing an aggravated burglary and are currently being detained by the authorities.
Following the incident, the two suspects fled the scene in a vehicle which was later sighted in Ilkeston but failed to comply with police instructions to stop. After a pursuit, the suspects abandoned the vehicle in Pit Lane, Shipley, and fled on foot, according to a report by DerbyshireLive.
A spokesperson from Derbyshire police stated, “We received a report regarding an armed intrusion by two individuals at a property on Muskham Avenue, Cotmanhay. Anyone with pertinent information that could aid our investigation is urged to come forward, referencing case number 26*024403.”
