Sky Announces Broadband and TV Price Increases

Sky has revealed upcoming price increases for certain broadband and TV customers starting in April. Broadband users can expect a monthly rise of £3, while premium TV package costs will go up by £1 to £3. Sky will inform customers about these adjustments starting today.

Under Sky’s variable pricing system, customers under a minimum contract can cancel without early termination fees due to the price hikes taking effect in April. On a positive note, millions of TV subscribers will soon have HBO Max, Disney+, and Hayu included in their package at no extra cost.

Netflix is already part of the package, bringing the total value of streaming apps to £20 per month. A Sky representative stated that the price adjustments are necessary to continue offering fast broadband, quality entertainment, live sports, and dependable services, despite industry-wide cost increases.

Last week, Sky Mobile customers experienced bill increases, with most seeing a £1.50 monthly rise, totaling £18 annually. The new charges will appear on bills from February 14, 2026, marking the first price change for in-contract Sky Mobile customers in over seven years.

Customers dissatisfied with the price hikes can terminate their contracts without penalties if still within the minimum term. The price of the socially discounted Sky Mobile tariff will not change. Out-of-contract customers might be overpaying and are encouraged to compare prices online to potentially save money. Evaluating actual usage levels for minutes, texts, and broadband speed can help identify unnecessary expenses.
