Less than three weeks from now, the prestigious Masters Champions Dinner in the world of golf is fast approaching. Renowned golfer Rory McIlroy has recently disclosed the menu for this esteemed gathering, featuring his mother’s specialty appetizer, Rosie’s dates stuffed with goat’s cheese.
McIlroy clinched the coveted Green Jacket nearly a year ago after a thrilling final round victory over Justin Rose, securing his career Grand Slam. As part of the perks of his triumph, McIlroy will be hosting the iconic champions dinner at Augusta National next month, with fellow golfer Scottie Scheffler abiding by his own set of rules.
The menu for the dinner was unveiled by McIlroy on Wednesday, offering the guests a choice between Wagyu Filet Mignon and seared salmon for the main course. This exclusive event, officially known as the Masters Club Dinner, is a highlight of the sports calendar, attended solely by past Green Jacket winners.
Traditionally, the defending champion selects the menu for the event. In 2025, Scottie Scheffler curated a menu including starters like cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and “Papa Scheff’s meatball and ravioli bites,” with a nod to a humorous incident from the previous Christmas.
Subsequent dishes included a Texas-style chili, followed by options of wood-fired cowboy ribeye or blackened redfish for the main course, and warm chocolate chip skillet cookies with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert. Previous champions like Hideki Matsuyama and Sir Nick Faldo have also left their culinary mark on the event with their unique menus.
Despite some unconventional choices in the past, the Masters Champions Dinner remains a cherished and memorable evening for all attendees. Faldo, a three-time Green Jacket winner, reminisced about the camaraderie and shared stories that make the event special, highlighting the mix of emotions and laughter that characterize the exclusive gathering.
