“Noel Clarke Facing Six Sexual Offense Charges”

Noel Clarke, recognized for his role in the science fiction series “Doctor Who,” has been formally accused of six sexual offenses, which include two charges of sexual assault, as announced by England and Wales’ Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) on Wednesday. The well-known British actor and filmmaker, aged 50, gained fame for portraying Mickey Smith in the BBC program from 2005 to 2010. Additionally, Clarke is facing a single count of exposure and three counts of voyeurism. In legal terms, voyeurism involves the act of observing or recording someone engaging in a private activity without their consent, often for personal gratification.

The CPS has disclosed that the alleged incidents involving Clarke occurred between 2007 and 2016 and are based on complaints filed by five women. This development follows a previous expose by the Guardian five years ago, which detailed claims of sexual harassment, groping, and bullying made against Clarke by 20 women, some of whom reported being subjected to inappropriate behavior during the production of “Doctor Who.” Clarke vehemently denied these allegations at the time.

According to a report by the Guardian, the recent charges stem from an investigation initiated in September 2025. Clarke is scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on October 21. Apart from his work on “Doctor Who,” the actor is also renowned for his roles in the teen crime dramas “Kidulthood” (2006), “Adulthood” (2008), and “Brotherhood” (2016), which delve into themes of drug abuse, bullying, and violence in London’s streets. Clarke not only wrote and starred in these films but also directed “Adulthood” and directed and produced “Brotherhood.” His acting credits extend to projects such as “Centurion” (2010), “Fast Girls” (2012), “Star Trek Into Darkness” (2013), and the television series “Bulletproof” (2018-2021).
