Criticism continued when Jenrick, during his tenure as Immigration Minister under Boris Johnson, oversaw a significant increase in the number of asylum seekers housed in hotels. Farage seized on this issue, branding Jenrick as untrustworthy and a “fraud” due to his alleged mismanagement.
Tensions escalated further when Jenrick intervened in an asylum hotel dispute, drawing further ire from Farage. The latter accused Jenrick of exacerbating the migrant accommodation issue and branded him untrustworthy, advising the public to view him with skepticism.
