A former rugby union player and Strictly Come Dancing contestant, Chris Robshaw, expressed disappointment at not being included in the upcoming live show, attributing it to his lower ranking. Chris exited the show in week four of the latest series, where he was eliminated in a dance-off alongside his partner, Nadiya Bychkova.
Despite a salsa performance to Ricky Martin’s “Maria,” Chris faced elimination against Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon, who showcased a paso doble to Rodrigo y Gabriela’s “Diablo Rojo.” While judges Anton Du Beke and Shirley Ballas voted to save Chris, Motsi Mabuse and Craig Revel Horwood opted to keep Balvinder in the competition.
Following the conclusion of the 2025 series, Chris revealed that he was not chosen for the Strictly live tour, but he remains enthusiastic about dancing. He mentioned his intention to return to the rugby world and possibly enjoy dancing in corporate settings with a glass of champagne.
Chris continues to practice dancing at home, often involving his one-year-old son, Hunter, and his wife, Camilla Kerslake, who also enjoys dancing. Despite not being selected for the tour, Chris expressed gratitude for his time on Strictly Come Dancing, acknowledging the support he received from fellow contestants and his wife.
Representatives of the Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour have been reached out to for comments on the situation.
