Stacey Solomon recently shared a charming series of photos from ten years ago, including a special moment when she first fell in love with her now-husband, Joe Swash. The popular television personality, known for her roles on “Loose Women” and “Sort Your Life Out,” joined the trend of the ‘2016 challenge’ by posting a carousel of images capturing her life highlights a decade ago, before she and Joe tied the knot and blended their families to become a family of eight.
Reflecting on the past, the 36-year-old celebrity expressed how 2016 seemed like a distant memory and like she was leading a completely different life compared to her current one. The first photo she shared depicted her and Joe enjoying the sun together, marking the year she fell in love with him. This holiday snapshot was taken six years after their initial meeting, following Stacey’s victory on “I’m A Celebrity” and Joe’s role as the host of the show’s spin-off.
Now parents to Rex, Belle, and Rose, the couple made their first public appearance as a pair in March of that year, with Stacey already contemplating starting a family with Joe shortly after. Their journey led them to exchange vows in 2022 and create their dream home at Pickle Cottage, complete with a swimming pool, farm animals, and exquisite interiors.
Among the nostalgic images shared by Stacey was a holiday photo of the couple reenacting the famous Lady and the Tramp spaghetti scene, which marked their first vacation together with her older children from previous relationships. Additionally, she humorously reminisced about a Halloween memory involving Joe, teasing his costume choice during the season.
Delving into her camera archive from 2016 evoked a range of emotions for Stacey, prompting her to include a crying face emoji in her caption as she marveled at how quickly a decade had passed. She also playfully mentioned her winning moment on “The Chase” and the mystery surrounding Joe’s Halloween costume from that year, inviting her followers to enjoy the trip down memory lane.
The album also featured Stacey’s eldest son, Zachary, in a black-and-white photo as she expressed disbelief at his approaching 18th birthday. Another snapshot captured a tender moment with her son Leighton, reminiscing about when he was the same age as their youngest daughter, Rose.
In addition to the family memories, the collection included solo highlights such as Stacey’s first surfing experience and her role as the Fairy Godmother in a pantomime production of Cinderella, following her co-hosting stint on “I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp” with Joe in Australia.
