“UK Starbucks Fans Frustrated by Price Gouging of Bearista Cup”

Starbucks enthusiasts in the UK are buzzing with excitement over the arrival of a new item in stores, the Bearista coffee cup. Originally launched in the US last November, this bear-shaped cup has quickly become a sought-after collectible item among British customers.

While some lucky shoppers have been able to purchase the cup with ease, others have faced disappointment upon finding it sold out at their local Starbucks. However, the main point of contention for some customers seems to be the pricing.

A shopper on Instagram raised concerns about the £27.95 price tag in-store, noting that some individuals are buying the cups solely to resell them online at a significant markup. This price gouging has left many customers frustrated and questioning the value of the product.

On eBay, Bearista cups are being listed at varying prices, with some as high as £146. However, there are also listings available for as low as £15 to £20, mainly in used condition.

In an effort to promote the Bearista cup, Starbucks took to Instagram, announcing its availability in stores with a one-cup-per-customer policy. The post garnered a flurry of comments from eager buyers and disappointed fans alike.

While some expressed dismay at the high demand and reselling practices, others shared their delight at acquiring the cup. Additionally, Starbucks offers a range of merchandise beyond food and drink, including mugs, travel cups, reusable bottles, notebooks, keyrings, and caps.

Starbucks has been contacted for comment on the situation.
