“Sky Launches HBO Max for Ultimate TV Subscribers”

Sky customers in the UK are in for a treat as the new HBO Max service has officially launched, adding to the list of streaming perks available. Sky Ultimate TV package subscribers can now enjoy popular titles like Game of Thrones, Friends, Dune, Succession, and Young Sheldon without the usual monthly £4.99 fee, resulting in savings of over £50.

According to Sky, customers with Sky Ultimate TV on Sky Glass or Sky Stream, as well as Sky Q customers with the appropriate package, will receive HBO Max Basic with Ads as part of their subscription. The service boasts a vast library of HBO dramas, including favorites like Succession and The Wire, along with new Max Originals like The Pitt, and a wide selection of Warner Bros. films.

To access HBO Max, eligible customers can simply launch the HBO Max app from their homepage and follow the on-screen instructions to activate the service. Once set up, users can enjoy on-demand streaming of all available content.

For those not already on the Sky Ultimate TV plan, switching to it starts at £22 per month and includes over 130 Sky channels, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and the upcoming Hayu service.

Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, expressed excitement about the integration of Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu into a single subscription, calling it a new era for Sky and NOW. NOW Entertainment customers will also have access to HBO Max through the NOW app at no additional cost.

If you’re not a Sky subscriber, you can sign up for HBO Max directly on its website, with Standard with Ads plans starting at £5.99.
