Bargain seeker Jordon Cox shares a money-saving hack for spotting expiring deals at Tesco. Known as the Coupon King on ITV’s This Morning, Jordon revealed a secret code found on Clubcard Price items that indicates the offer’s expiration date.
In a recent video, Jordon explained that a six-digit number starting with 25 on a Clubcard Price product reveals the deal’s end date. By reading the numbers in reverse (in pairs of two), you can decipher the day, month, and year of the expiration date. This trick helps shoppers plan purchases and save money on regular items.
Tesco is reminding customers to redeem £16.5 million worth of expiring Clubcard vouchers by the end of the month. Each pound spent at Tesco stores or online earns one Clubcard point, while fuel purchases at Tesco petrol stations and specific Tesco services also accumulate points.
To qualify for a Clubcard voucher worth £1.50, customers need a minimum of 150 points. Currently, over 24 million households in the UK hold a Tesco Clubcard.
Tesco’s Group Membership and Loyalty Director, Shama Wilson, encourages voucher redemption, highlighting the value of expiring vouchers this quarter. Using the vouchers for rewards like cinema tickets or food discounts can maximize their benefits, making it essential for customers to check their Tesco app for expiring vouchers.
