In a video posted on the platform, he clarified the proper disposal methods for various types of takeaway containers, emphasizing that they should not be put in the recycling bin.
The Binman stated unequivocally that takeaway boxes are not suitable for recycling, noting that most councils do not accept them as recyclable materials. He specifically mentioned pizza boxes, highlighting that despite being made of cardboard, once contaminated with grease, they are no longer recyclable and should not be placed in the paper recycling bin.
While some councils may permit pizza boxes in compost bins, it is advisable to verify the guidelines in your local area for proper disposal.
