A 21-year-old British traveler has gone missing while on vacation overseas. Joshua’s family raised concerns when he did not reach out to them after his arrival in Thailand on Monday. He was traveling solo to Pattaya, a popular tourist spot. His family is seeking help to locate him promptly.
Scheduled to depart Bangkok on January 19, the young man is due back in the UK early on January 20. Joshua had checked into his hotel before his last conversation with his mother on Monday, according to a family member.
His family has reached out to local authorities and the British embassy in Bangkok for assistance. They are receiving updates from the police and embassy personnel. In a separate incident, a 63-year-old British tourist, Gordon Dewar, was rescued after getting lost in a jungle in Thailand.
Gordon, a keen cyclist, strayed off the main road during a cycling trip and became lost in the Phraeo district on January 10. After spending a night in the jungle, he contacted the police for help the following morning. Rescue teams, including motocross riders and drone operators, located him in the jungle, where he was exhausted and dehydrated.
Gordon expressed gratitude for his rescue, stating that he would not have survived another night without food and water. The Chiang Mai Tourist Police coordinated the rescue mission, reaching him after a few hours of waiting. Gordon’s bicycle was also recovered from the rugged terrain.
