Apple has unveiled the new iPhone 17e, featuring significant upgrades at an attractive price point. Equipped with a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, sturdy design, and an impressive single-lens camera, the device is priced at £599, offering a £200 saving compared to the flagship iPhone.
In a similar vein, Samsung has announced the release of its latest models, the A57 and A37, starting from £399. While these phones may not match the performance or innovative charging of the iPhone 17e, they boast a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing a smoother user experience for tasks like browsing, emailing, and gaming.
The Galaxy devices also feature large 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and IP68 water and dust resistance. Samsung has integrated advanced AI capabilities into the A37 and A57, facilitating quick web searches with Google’s Circle to Search tool and offering enhanced photo editing functionalities such as Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
Enhancing user convenience, the phones introduce improved Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app, enabling swift transcription and translation of call recordings and voicemails into text. Samsung has committed to providing long-term support for the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, guaranteeing up to six generations of Android OS and One UI updates, along with six years of security patches.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 for the 256GB variant and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399 for the 128GB version. The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in colors like Awesome Navy, Grey, Icyblue, and Lilac, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in shades like Lavender, Charcoal, Greygreen, and White.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience (MX) Division, emphasized the importance of democratizing AI technology, stating that the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G combine Samsung’s core capabilities with AI intelligence to deliver exceptional everyday performance.
