“Madonna Leads MTV VMAs Nominations with 11”

Madonna, the queen of pop, has once again emerged as a dominant force in the music industry. Surpassing renowned artists like Taylor Swift, Madonna has secured the top spot with 11 nominations at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs). These nominations recognize her exceptional work on the album “Confessions II” and its associated film.

This marks Madonna’s third time leading the VMAs nominations, having previously achieved this feat in 1990 and 1998 with her iconic eras of “Vogue” and “Ray of Light.” One of her most memorable VMAs moments dates back to the inaugural 1984 ceremony, where she stunned the audience with a groundbreaking performance of “Like a Virgin” while clad in a wedding dress and a distinctive “Boy Toy” belt buckle.

Among Madonna’s nominations are categories such as video of the year, artist of the year, and song and collaboration of the year for her track “Bring Your Love,” featuring Sabrina Carpenter. The highly coveted video of the year award will see Madonna’s “Confessions” competing against Taylor Swift’s “Ophelia,” Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me,” Sabrina Carpenter’s “Tears,” Bruno Mars’s “I Just Might,” and Gener8ion and Yung Lean’s “Storm.”

Fans have the opportunity to vote for winners in 13 categories this year. The victors will be revealed during the live broadcast of the VMAs on September 27, airing on CBS, MTV, and available for streaming on Paramount+.
