Tributes are flowing in for a beloved individual who tragically passed away after reportedly being struck by a vehicle outside a supermarket in County Durham. The incident occurred at the Asda Express garage on Stockton Road in Seaham on Thursday (January 15) around 4.50pm, prompting emergency services to respond to the scene.
Despite the efforts of paramedics, the man, identified as Daniel Ambler, was pronounced dead at the location. Following the incident, police initiated a murder inquiry.
The family of the 23-year-old, described as a kind-hearted son and brother, expressed their deep sorrow over the loss. They remembered Daniel for his sense of humor, popularity among friends, and his ability to bring joy to any situation.
Durham Constabulary has launched a murder investigation into the death of Daniel and is urging anyone with relevant information to come forward. Authorities are specifically interested in locating Ashton Anderson, a 19-year-old wanted on suspicion of murder in connection with the case. Anderson is described as approximately 5ft 10, slim, with short brown hair.
In connection with the incident, three teenagers and a man in his fifties have been apprehended. Additionally, a teenager and two women in their forties were arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender.
