Xiaomi claims that the additional display provides users with enhanced functionality, allowing for interactions such as receiving notifications for messages, emails, and tracking deliveries. The display can also serve as a clock, music player, or platform for sticky notes, all of which are customizable with personal photos or smart AI wallpapers.
Moreover, the second screen offers innovative features like a virtual pet, flight tracker, diary, and a dual-lens camera viewfinder for capturing selfies. Xiaomi’s dual-screen design aims to blend aesthetics with intelligent functionality, offering customizable watch faces, AI wallpapers, and dynamic information notifications.
In addition to the dual display, the Xiaomi 17 Pro boasts impressive specifications, including fast-charging capabilities. The phone supports 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, surpassing the charging speeds of the iPhone. It is also one of the first devices to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, known for its improved performance and efficiency.
While the Xiaomi 17 Pro series has yet to announce a release date in the UK, the phones are already available in China, with hopes of expanding to other markets soon.
