A teenager recently achieved a Guinness World Record for owning the largest assortment of Jellycat collectibles and plans to continue expanding her collection. Hope Roberts, aged 19, started her collection two years ago and officially counted 877 Jellycat items in December. However, a recent inventory revealed that her collection has now grown to 1,021 cuddly toys, key rings, stickers, and more.
Hailing from Bedford, Hope manages her own TikTok and Instagram accounts to showcase her discoveries, expressing how much happiness the cuddly toys bring her. She emphasized the diverse range of Jellycat products, stating that there is something for everyone and praising the welcoming community around the brand.
Her collection is predominantly displayed in her bedroom and childhood room at her parents’ house, where she showcases both preloved and new items without discrimination. Jellycat, a British soft toy company established in 1999, has gained immense global popularity in recent times due to its viral appeal.
Hope’s passion for collecting Jellycat memorabilia ignited when she stumbled upon a cream bunny with a pink bow in a charity shop, which she purchased for a mere 20p. Subsequently receiving Jellycats as gifts, her interest grew rapidly, leading to the gradual expansion of her collection.
Among her prized possessions are a medium and small Bashful Maple Bunny, purchased at a bargain price, with similar items listed on eBay for up to £2k each. Hope refrained from estimating the total worth of her collection as many items were gifted or bought second-hand.
Acknowledging the high demand and resale value of Jellycat products, Hope noted the growing trend of people being inspired to collect them, especially through social media platforms. She highlighted a rare and retired Juniper Lux bashful bunny personalized with her name, a thoughtful gift from her grandmother.
With a significant following on TikTok and Instagram, where she shares her collection and decorates it according to various seasons like Halloween and Christmas, Hope received her Guinness World Record for the largest Jellycat memorabilia collection on December 3, 2025.
Expressing her astonishment and gratitude for the recognition, Hope looks forward to potentially breaking her own record as her collection continues to expand. Adjudicator Emma praised Hope for her organization and enthusiasm, describing her as a bright and bubbly individual thrilled to hold a Guinness World Records title. Emma also mentioned the fun experience of burying Hope in a sea of Jellycat toys as part of the record verification process.
