Sky has revealed upcoming changes to its TV channel lineup, with Sky Showcase and Sky Max set to be discontinued starting February 24. However, subscribers can look forward to the return of Sky One, which will feature a variety of comedy and entertainment programs such as The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby. Additionally, familiar favorites like Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted will also be part of the lineup.
Sky One will also be the home of Saturday Night Live UK, premiering later this year. Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed excitement about the channel’s relaunch, emphasizing its focus on delivering a unique and energetic viewing experience with a blend of new Sky Originals and returning favorites.
Sky One is set to launch on channel 106 on February 24. In addition to the channel debut, Sky is introducing a new plan called Ultimate TV, priced at £24 per month, offering access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app. Subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will also enjoy over 130 premium channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History. Furthermore, Sky Cinema users will benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel directly added to the TV guide for seamless viewing of Hollywood hits.
The £24 plan includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads (from March), HBO Max Basic with Ads (from March 26th), Hayu (from July), and over 130 Sky channels.
