Sky has made a surprising announcement by bringing back its beloved channel, Sky One, which will be back on screens later this month after closing down in 2021. Viewers can expect a lineup of comedy and entertainment shows, including new programs like The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby.
Fan-favorite shows such as Rob & Romesh Vs., The Paper, and Ted will also be part of the channel’s offerings on channel 106. The reintroduction of Sky One will replace Sky Showcase and Sky Max, consolidating a diverse range of entertainment content in one place for easier access to must-watch TV.
Carli Kerr, MD of Sky TV & NOW, expressed that the aim is to enhance the viewing experience for Sky TV customers and provide a unique destination filled with energy and exciting content. The channel will feature new Sky Originals like The Dyers’ Caravan Park, along with returning favorites such as Rob & Romesh Vs., and will be the home of the highly anticipated Saturday Night Live UK.
Sky One will officially launch on channel 106 on Tuesday, February 24. This news coincides with Sky’s upcoming major event, teased in an invitation to Mirror Online, hinting at significant developments for Sky TV. Speculation is rife about the potential unveilings at the event, set to take place in London’s West End, with Mirror Online providing live updates as the news unfolds.
