Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is set to shake up the streaming landscape. The company is rolling out a new subscription plan that combines popular services like Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the upcoming HBO Max app into one package for just £24 per month. This move is aimed at providing customers with more value for their money, as the combined cost of these services would typically be around £44.
In addition to the streaming services, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will have access to over 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, and Sky History. Sky Cinema users will also benefit from a dedicated Disney movie channel directly on their planner, allowing them to enjoy Disney blockbusters without needing the Disney+ app.
Existing Disney+ subscribers can easily transfer their current plan to Sky while retaining their profiles and viewing history. All supported apps will be seamlessly integrated into the Sky platform, allowing users to search for shows and movies using voice commands and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.
The new Sky Ultimate plan will be available across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms, offering a unified viewing experience for customers. Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, emphasized the convenience and value of the new subscription, stating that it brings together top streaming services in a single package. She highlighted that NOW Entertainment customers will also receive HBO Max at no additional cost.
Sky’s focus on innovation continues with this update, aimed at simplifying the entertainment experience for viewers. The comprehensive package includes Netflix Standard with Ads, Disney+ Standard with Ads, HBO Max Basic with Ads, Hayu, and over 130 Sky channels.
This update marks a significant milestone for Sky and NOW, ushering in a new era of integrated entertainment for subscribers.
