Sky has introduced a range of new channels for its viewers without any additional charges. These Free Ad-supported Streaming Television (FAST) channels cover sports, documentaries, art, and more, totaling six new services. The channels are accessible on various devices such as Sky Glass Gen 2, Sky Glass Air, and Sky Stream boxes. Older Sky Q devices can also access the channels through the Xumo Play app without the need for manual updates.
The newly launched channels include Sky Sports Classics, Sky Sports Vault, Sky Sports Stories, Pick Monkey Rescue, Emergency 24/7, and Sky Artist of The Year. Each channel offers unique content catering to different interests, from sports archives to wildlife rescue shows. Viewers can easily find these channels by searching for their names or channel numbers on their remote controls.
In addition to Sky’s free content, Virgin Media has also introduced two new free channels, British Screen Classics and wedotv movies, available on channel 450 and 451 for Virgin TV 360, Stream, and V6 box users. British Screen Classics features films and TV shows from ITV Studios and Studio Canal, while wedotv movies offers a diverse selection of over 500 movies across various genres.
Both Sky and Virgin Media are expanding their free channel offerings, providing viewers with a broader range of entertainment options at no extra cost.
