An additional payment of £293.50 will be given to numerous benefit recipients later this year. This extra sum is specifically allocated for individuals currently receiving Carer’s Allowance in the region of Scotland.
Eligibility for this bonus extends to those receiving the Carer Support Payment, which has now replaced the Carer’s Allowance in Scotland. Known as the Carer’s Allowance Supplement, this additional payment is issued semi-annually.
The most recent payment was made in June 2025, with the subsequent payment scheduled for December 2025. Typically, one must be actively receiving Carer’s Allowance or Carer’s Support Payment to qualify for this top-up.
Recipients expecting this payment will receive a notification from Social Security Scotland. The amount will then be deposited directly into their regular bank account without the need for a separate application.
The weekly values of both Carer’s Allowance and Carer Support Payment stand at £83.30 each. Details on Carer’s Allowance eligibility can be found below. This development follows the recent announcement of a £200 payment set for state pensioners born before 1959.
