Samsung has unveiled its latest Galaxy lineup at the Unpacked event in New York, showcasing new bendable phones that have slim designs and enhanced durability. The flagship device, Galaxy Z Fold 7, features an expansive 8-inch screen when unfolded, packed in a thinner and lighter body compared to previous models.
The new model boasts a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip for improved performance in various tasks such as app launching, multitasking, gaming, and productivity. Samsung emphasizes the device’s durability with features like Armour FlexHinge, Gorilla Glass, and an Advanced Armour Aluminium frame, ensuring long-term usage.
Additionally, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 offers a larger 6.5-inch cover screen, an upgraded triple-lens camera with a main 200MP lens, and smart enhancements like auto image editing and noise reduction in videos. The device is set to be released this month with a price tag of £1,799.
Apart from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Samsung is introducing the Z Flip 7 with a more expansive front display for easier interaction without unfolding the 6.9-inch main panel. The Z Flip 7 comes with a larger battery, improved design, and enhanced performance powered by Samsung’s Exynos chip, priced at £1,049.
Moreover, Samsung is launching the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, offering a more budget-friendly option at £849. Annika Bizon, Mobile Experience VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung UK & Ireland, highlights the company’s commitment to innovative smartphone technology that adapts to users’ needs through AI integration.
