Myleene Klass has brought attention to elderly individuals on social media who are sending her offensive messages, with one person wishing her to contract cancer or Alzheimer’s. The former Hear’Say singer, aged 47, exposed a message she received from a spiteful individual, labeling them as “grannies” behind the hateful comments.
The mother of three shared a screenshot of the disturbing direct message she received online, publicly calling out the sender who expressed, “I hope you get cancer and die young or Alzheimer’s.”
Expressing her frustration, she questioned the trend of receiving negative messages from older individuals and urged for them to stay away from social media, emphasizing, “Keep your nanas off social media!”
Supportive fans swiftly defended Myleene on social platforms, condemning the hurtful remarks directed towards her. One supporter demanded an apology from the sender, advising them to seek professional help and discontinue using social media.
This is not the first instance where Myleene has faced online abuse. Previously, she advocated for normalizing breastfeeding in public, standing up against critics who challenged her decision. She shared intimate photos on Instagram, emphasizing the natural aspect of breastfeeding and expressing the challenges faced by mothers in their breastfeeding journey.
Apart from her advocacy work, Myleene, a mother to teenage daughters Ava and Hero, and son Apollo, has been recognized for her contributions to women’s health and charity efforts. She received an MBE in the 2025 New Year Honours from King Charles for her significant accomplishments.
Myleene continues to use her platform to empower and support women, encouraging them to share their own breastfeeding stories and photos to normalize the experience. She highlights the struggles faced by breastfeeding mothers and emphasizes the need for respect and support in their journey.
