Motorola Challenges Samsung with High-Performance Edge 70 Max Smartphone
Motorola is stepping up its game in the Android smartphone market with the introduction of the powerful Motorola Edge 70 Max. While Samsung continues to lead in global Android sales, Motorola is making waves with this new device that boasts exceptional features not currently matched by Samsung’s latest flagship Galaxy phones – an impressive battery capacity and ultra-fast charging capabilities.
Under the hood of the Edge 70 Max lies a massive 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery, designed to offer extended usage for activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing before needing a recharge. Unlike conventional lithium-ion batteries found in Samsung devices, the silicon-carbon technology utilized in the Edge Max packs more energy into the same form factor, enhancing battery life without adding bulk or weight to the phone.
When the battery runs low, Motorola has a solution with the 90W TurboPower charging feature supported by the Edge 70 Max. This technology enables rapid charging, providing enough power for a full day’s use in just six minutes of charging. This outpaces Samsung’s current offerings which top out at 60W wired charging.
Experts at DXOMARK have already recognized the Edge 70 Max for its exceptional battery performance by awarding it the prestigious Gold Label for battery life and charging capabilities.
Beyond its battery prowess, the Motorola Edge 70 Max is packed with flagship features. It boasts a sharp 6.82-inch Quad HD+ (2K) display and is powered by Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, making it capable of handling demanding tasks from gaming to AI functions. The phone also incorporates a large vapour chamber cooling system to manage temperatures during intensive usage.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the AI-powered camera system on the Edge 70 Max, featuring a 50MP Sony LYTIA 710 sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a dedicated macro lens for close-up shots.
Additional highlights of the Edge 70 Max include an aircraft-grade aluminum frame, Dolby Atmos stereo speakers, water resistance, and a premium design available in Pantone Aqua Gray, Pantone Dark Shadow, and Pantone Ice Melt.
Wilkin Lee, Head of Marketing UK & Ireland at Motorola, emphasized the device’s blend of beauty, performance, and functionality, stating that the Edge 70 Max offers a premium entertainment experience without compromise.
The Motorola Edge 70 Max is currently available for purchase in the UK, priced at £699.99.
