Time is running out to apply for the £150 Warm Home Discount, although most eligible individuals should have already received the assistance automatically.
The Warm Home Discount provides a £150 reduction on your electricity bill, applied directly to your energy account or as vouchers for prepayment customers.
To qualify for the Warm Home Discount, you must have been receiving certain benefits on August 24.
Residents of England and Wales receive the Warm Home Discount automatically if eligible, while in Scotland, only those receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit get automatic payment. Others must apply manually through their energy supplier. There is no Warm Home Discount scheme in Northern Ireland.

With energy bills expected to decrease this spring, Ofgem is set to lower the price cap from £1,758 to £1,641 for a typical dual fuel home. The next price cap announcement will be made on February 25, covering April 1 to June 30.
If you are on a standard variable rate tariff, you will be covered by the Ofgem price cap. However, your bill is determined by your actual energy consumption.
The Ofgem price cap limits charges for gas and electricity units, as well as standing charges for connection to the energy network, providing an estimate of annual costs for typical energy usage.
