Cove UK Enters Administration, 11 Holiday Parks Impacted

Cove UK, the umbrella organization overseeing numerous holiday parks in the UK, has entered administration. This development impacts a total of 11 sites, including eight managed by Argyll Holidays, which Cove UK acquired for £100 million in 2022. Other affected holiday parks comprise Solway Holiday Park, Gwel an Mor Resort, and Springwood Holiday Park. Administrators are presently evaluating sales options for the business and have communicated this news to owners.

If you have a forthcoming reservation at any of the resorts, administrators suggest reaching out to the site manager. The resorts involved in this situation are as follows:

– Argyll Holidays
– Solway Holiday Park
– Gwel an Mor Resort
– Springwood Holiday Park

Seal Bay Resort in West Sussex remains unaffected and continues to operate as usual. Alvarez & Marsal Europe has been appointed to oversee the administration process for Cove Communities Holiday Park UK Holdco Limited (HPUK), which includes subsidiary companies like Cove Communities Venture 2 Gwel an Mor OpCo Ltd and Cove Communities Venture 2 Springwood OpCo Ltd.

Alvarez & Marsal Europe stated, “Our main focus as administrators is to ensure a seamless transition and maintain operational stability at the parks. We are dedicated to minimizing any disruptions to day-to-day functions. Owners, residents, and vacationers should not experience any disturbances and can direct any inquiries to the site managers.”

A representative from Cove UK commented, “We can confirm that administrators have been designated to Cove Communities Holiday Park HoldCo Limited and its subsidiaries, affecting several holiday parks across the UK. Seal Bay, our primary resort within the Cove UK group, remains outside the administration process and continues regular operations for our guests and proprietors. Our primary objective remains customer service and the execution of our long-term strategy. We are grateful for the ongoing support from our staff, proprietors, and customers.”
