Coronation Street star Sally Dynevor celebrates a remarkable milestone in her career. The veteran actress, now 62, joined the soap opera at the age of 22, portraying the beloved character Sally Seddon. Over the years, she has captivated audiences with her portrayal and has been a fan favorite among ITV viewers.
Throughout her time on the show, Sally’s character has been involved in numerous memorable storylines, including her turbulent marriage to Kevin Webster and a harrowing domestic abuse plotline with partner Greg Kelly. In 2009, Sally not only portrayed but also battled breast cancer, a journey she believes may have saved her life.
Recently, Sally took to Instagram to announce her upcoming 40th anniversary on Coronation Street, leaving her colleagues impressed. To honor this achievement, co-star Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth, gifted Sally a special 40th anniversary card. The card features an iconic scene from Sally’s debut episode in 1986, where her character gets drenched by Kevin’s car splashing through a puddle.
Expressing her excitement, Sally shared her gratitude for her four-decade journey on the show. Her post received an outpouring of congratulatory messages from fellow cast members, including heartfelt remarks from Joe Duttine, Tony Maudsley, Cait Fitton, Simon Gregson, Michelle Hardwick, Sally Carmen, and Brooke Vincent.
