Co-op is gearing up to unveil 11 fresh stores this week, with a complete list of locations now confirmed. The new store openings span from Bristol to the Scottish Highlands, and notably include the Co-op’s debut as the primary retailer at the new Brent Cross Town development in London.
The upcoming stores consist of a mix of brand-new outlets, franchise-operated establishments, and revamped locations. This initiative forms part of the retailer’s commitment to invest in over 200 new and upgraded stores by 2024/25.
This recent announcement adds to the 50 stores that Co-op had already confirmed to open in November and December, just in time for the festive season. The company is advocating for business rates reform in the upcoming Budget.
Kate McCrae, Co-op’s Operations Director, emphasized the brand’s aim to establish local stores that serve as community hubs, catering to the needs of residents while contributing to local life.
