Chris Martin and Gwyneth Paltrow’s son, Moses Martin, 19, has taken after his father’s musical path by forming his own band and securing a record deal. Moses serves as the vocalist and guitarist for the New York-based band People I’ve Met, which he co-founded with his friends Andrew Suster and Orlando Wiltshire. Formerly known as Dancer, the band recently debuted their first single, “Promise,” under Interscope Records.
Interscope Records boasts a varied lineup of artists spanning pop, hip-hop, R&B, and rock genres, with notable names like Billie Eilish, Lady Gaga, Lana Del Rey, Olivia Rodrigo, Kendrick Lamar, and Eminem under its wing. Moses’ singing style bears a resemblance to his father’s, and he even graced the stage with Coldplay at Glastonbury in 2016.
Initial reports were first made public by The Sun, and the official website of People I’ve Met hinted at an upcoming tour for the band. Moses has previously collaborated with Coldplay on tracks like “All My Love,” “Orphans,” and “The Astronaut.” His older sister, Apple Martin, 21, has also embarked on her music journey, featuring as a guest artist on indie rock duo Jade Street’s single “Satellites.”
Despite his celebrity upbringing, Apple expressed gratitude for her parents’ emphasis on hard work during a live performance in Nashville, Tennessee, last October. Fans have showered People I’ve Met with praise following their recent Instagram post showcasing their single, with many anticipating more music from the band.
Chris and Gwyneth separated in 2014 but have maintained an amicable relationship. Gwyneth publicly commended Moses’ musical talents in a heartfelt birthday tribute on Instagram last year, showcasing her pride in his accomplishments. Notably, Gwyneth shared an amusing anecdote about Moses’ reaction to her intimate scenes in a recent movie premiere, highlighting their close family dynamic.
