The individual facing charges in connection with the tragic car accident involving boxer Anthony Joshua has made a court appearance in Nigeria. Following the collision near Lagos on December 29, Joshua’s trainer, Latif Ayodele, and strength coach, Sina Ghami, lost their lives when their vehicle collided with a stationary lorry. Anthony Joshua sustained injuries but survived and was released from the hospital on New Year’s Eve.
Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, aged 46, appeared in Sagamu Magistrates Court in Ogun state near Lagos, with his case adjourned to March 13. Charged with causing death by dangerous driving and reckless driving, Kayode was granted bail and faces additional charges of driving without due care and a valid license. Prosecutors requested more time to gather evidence for the case.
