Jordan North felt uneasy during a recent encounter with Josh Widdicombe, suspecting that the latter harbored negative feelings towards him. The incident took place on the Capital Breakfast show, where Jordan co-hosted with Chris Stark and Sian Welby, and welcomed Josh as a guest.
Jordan had long believed that there was tension between him and Josh stemming from a previous collaboration. Expressing his concerns about their relationship, Jordan admitted to feeling insecure about Josh’s opinion of him but refrained from appearing overly needy.
In a bid to play a joke, Chris and Sian decided to fuel Jordan’s apprehensions by insinuating that Josh secretly disliked him. Chris disclosed that before Josh’s appearance, the latter had expressed doubts about their rapport. Clips were shown highlighting Josh’s interactions with others, including a prolonged hug, and a sharp response to Jordan’s technical comment.
During the show, Josh revealed receiving a message suggesting he should be unkind to Jordan, prompting a light-hearted exchange between them. Despite the perceived tension, Josh reassured Jordan of his positive regard, complimenting Jordan’s on-air presence and professionalism.
Reflecting on their dynamic, Jordan mentioned that he had sensed a lack of affinity from two out of three recent guests, including Josh. However, Josh dismissed any negative sentiment, attributing any awkwardness to nerves from a previous shared experience on a BBC show, “The Wheel.”
Jordan, who began hosting the Capital Breakfast show in April 2024, expressed enthusiasm for his role, emphasizing his eagerness to entertain listeners with great music, engaging interviews, and plenty of laughs.
