In response to the situation, the UK Foreign Secretary announced plans for additional sanctions targeting various sectors in Iran. The move came after the Foreign Office summoned the Iranian ambassador to address the government’s handling of the demonstrations.
US President Donald Trump encouraged Iranians to persist in their protests, emphasizing consequences for those responsible for violence. He expressed his refusal to engage with Iranian officials until the violence against protesters ceases.
