A mother of two tragically passed away after falling off a high stool at a hotel bar. Kadie Hunt, 38, fell off a bar stool at Welbeck Manor, a golf hotel in Sparkwell, Devon, after an afternoon of drinking with her cousin and friends. CCTV footage showed Kadie consuming several alcoholic drinks before the incident. Despite falling and hitting her head, Kadie initially declined help and seemed unaffected. The next morning, she was discovered unresponsive at home with facial injuries and was taken to the hospital, where she later succumbed to a traumatic brain injury.
An inquest revealed that Kadie had refused assistance and downplayed the fall, even holding onto her phone after the incident. She was described as chatty and coherent before the accident. CCTV footage captured Kadie stumbling and hitting her head on a fireplace, leading to a fatal traumatic brain bleed. The coroner ruled her death as accidental, influenced by alcohol intoxication due to heavy drinking habits.
Kadie’s mother described her as a compassionate person who even in death, donated her organs to save others’ lives. She emphasized Kadie’s selflessness and legacy of helping others. Following Kadie’s passing, the Welbeck Manor expressed sorrow over the loss, highlighting Kadie’s positive impact on their team.
