Luke Littler firmly states that he has no intention of emulating his friend Angry Ginge by participating in the jungle adventures following the YouTuber’s recent victory in the reality TV competition centered around a campfire.
The talented professional darts player, Littler, who is set to defend his title at Alexandra Palace, was quick to offer his congratulations to Angry Ginge, also known as Morgan Burtwistle, for emerging victorious on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. However, he firmly asserts that he will not expose himself to the challenges of the grueling bushtucker trials under any circumstances.
The 18-year-old darts prodigy from Warrington has drawn a clear boundary, refusing to consume exotic and unpalatable foods like kangaroo anus or crocodile genitalia for the sake of entertainment on the show hosted by Ant and Dec. Littler expressed his stance, saying, “Would I venture into the jungle myself? No, I definitely would not.
“Initially, I mentioned that I might consider it for the right compensation, but after watching the show, I have decided against it. I simply couldn’t endure it. Absolutely not.
“Being thousands of miles away from home, consuming such items, it’s just not something I can tolerate. No chance. Not at all.
“After watching the challenges unfold, particularly what the rapper Aitch had to endure in the first two trials, I made it clear to my girlfriend, Faith, that I would never participate. No way. Absolutely not.”
Burtwistle, aged 24, claimed the crown as the winner of the show after spending three weeks in the Australian wilderness, with Tom Read Wilson securing the runner-up position and Eastenders actress Shona McGarty finishing third.
During his final bushtucker ordeal, Angry Ginge navigated challenges involving snakes and insects wrapped around his head in a task known as the Helmet of Hell, while Read Wilson consumed camel brain and pig reproductive organs.
To celebrate his friend’s notable triumph in Australia, Littler joined Manchester United’s loyal supporters at Molineux, witnessing the team’s decisive 4-1 victory over Wolves.
The world’s top-ranked darts player was captured on television cameras seated alongside Rick McGagh, the head of fan engagement at Manchester United.
Bruno Fernandes, the captain of Manchester United, who scored twice in the team’s impressive win, responded to Littler’s tweet about enjoying his first away game with a darts emoji.
