Several individuals sustained injuries when a truck rammed into a gathering of anti-Iran protesters in Los Angeles, causing chaos and panic. The incident, captured on video, showed a U-Haul truck driving through demonstrators, forcing people to scatter as it advanced. Witnesses reported that the driver targeted protesters holding Iranian flags, seemingly trying to push through the crowd. The truck displayed a large banner stating: “No Shah, No Regime. USA: Don’t Repeat 1953. No Mullah.”
The event took place during daylight on Veteran Avenue in the Westwood district, where a large group had gathered to protest against Iran’s Islamic Republic. Eyewitness Susie Shoshana recorded the incident on her phone, describing how she stumbled upon the protest march after attending a nearby party. The truck eventually came to a stop and was surrounded by protesters, leading to some individuals smashing its windows in a heated altercation.
Footage also depicted the driver being pulled out of the truck by police officers, amid screams from onlookers. As the suspect was being escorted away, some protesters attempted to physically confront him, prompting the police to intervene and disperse the crowd to restore order. The Los Angeles Fire Department confirmed that three people were injured as a result of the truck collision.
