Amazon has just unveiled a range of new products that outshine its older devices, signaling a good time for owners of Echo, Fire TV Stick, or Kindle to consider an upgrade. The reveal took place at an event in New York, with the updated devices set to hit Amazon’s store shelves soon.
Among the highlights are four new Echo speakers, including an Echo Dot Max and an updated Echo Studio. These revamped ball-shaped speakers not only sport a fresh look but also boast enhanced intelligence through Alexa updates and improved sound quality. Amazon claims that Echo Dot Max users can expect almost triple the bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th gen).
The Echo Studio has shrunk by 40% from its original size but is purported to deliver top-notch sound quality for a smart speaker of its compact dimensions.
For those interested in devices with screens, Amazon introduces two new Echo Show models – the Show 8 and Show 11. These displays feature advanced technology for a superior viewing experience, with ambient visuals that adjust based on the surroundings. Additionally, both devices come equipped with front-facing stereo speakers and a custom woofer for immersive spatial audio.
In addition to the Echo lineup, Amazon introduces the Scribe Colorsoft, a new Kindle model. Similar to the existing Scribe range, this device includes a pen for screen scribbling. However, the Scribe Colorsoft stands out with its 11-inch color display, making it ideal for reading comics and appealing to aspiring artists. The device boasts a lightweight design, texture-molded glass screen, backlight for nighttime usage, improved processor for faster performance, and extended battery life despite the new color display.
Amazon’s latest offering, the Fire TV Stick 4K Select, promises enhanced 4K visuals at a more affordable price point compared to its Ultra HD counterparts.
The event also featured updates to Fire TV screens and the Ring Doorbell, now capable of 4K recordings. All these new devices are slated for release in the near future.
