In a harrowing incident at Southport, a brave young girl, identified as Child 6, vividly recounted the traumatic experience of being attacked by Axel Rudakubana while she tried to protect other children. She described the horror of seeing the blood and hearing the screams in her nightmares since the attack.
The girl, who had been at a Taylor Swift workshop with her sister, initially thought the attack was a joke until she locked eyes with the assailant, who appeared possessed. She witnessed the brutal knife attack unfold and felt a sense of impending danger before being stabbed multiple times herself.
Despite suffering a collapsed lung and two broken bones from the attack, the girl displayed remarkable courage as she shared her ordeal, emphasizing the lasting psychological impact it has had on her. She expressed her desire for the inquiry to uncover the reasons behind the incident and prevent similar tragedies from occurring in the future.
Axel Rudakubana, now serving a 52-year prison sentence, was convicted of multiple murders and attempted murders, as well as terror-related charges. The inquiry, currently taking place at Liverpool Town Hall, aims to provide closure for the families affected by the tragic loss of three young girls in the attack.
