Concern has been expressed by fans of the Sidemen following an important career announcement by one of the popular YouTube group members.
JJ, who is also known as KSI online, has been officially named as a permanent judge for the upcoming season of Britain’s Got Talent.
The well-known YouTuber, recognized in the music and boxing realms, had previously made cameo appearances on the show. Notably, his golden buzzer pick, Harry Moulding, emerged as the winner of the last season.
KSI aims to replicate his knack for identifying genuine talent. He shared the news in a typical Sidemen fashion through his social media platform.
In a video, he can be seen strolling the streets and hitting his BGT red buzzer at anything that displeases him, including a Tottenham Hotspur fan (as he supports Arsenal), a barista not serving his preferred drink, and street performers.
He awakens from this odd dream and expresses his yearning for ‘doing BGT’ again. Subsequently, he contacts Simon Cowell, who invites him back full-time for the 2026 season.
The decision to make KSI a permanent fixture on the show follows Bruno Tonioli, a former judge and Strictly star, confirming his exit from the series to focus on commitments with Dancing with the Stars in the US.
Reacting swiftly, Sidemen fans congratulated KSI on the news, with one individual expressing, “I believe that role suits JJ perfectly. I’m thrilled for him, and it’s great to see ‘Youtubers’ entering the mainstream.”
Another comment read, “Transitioning from CoD (Call of Duty) montages and the R face to a BGT judge is an incredible journey.”
Nevertheless, many ardent followers of the YouTube channel, which regularly uploads videos, raised concerns about whether his involvement in the ITV competition would reduce his appearances in his own content.
A post on the Sidemen subreddit echoed this sentiment, stating, “Great for him! However, he might miss several Sidemen Sundays now, unfortunately.”
Another individual added, “Exactly what you mentioned. I wonder about the impact on his other endeavors, considering the extensive BGT episodes.”
