Samsung and Google, major players in the smartphone market, are facing competition from a new entrant. Nothing, a UK-based tech company, has introduced its latest offering, the Phone (3), featuring a unique Glyph Matrix micro-LED display on the rear case. This innovative feature allows users to receive alerts, check timers, and play games without using the main 6.67-inch AMOLED display on the front.
The Glyph Matrix display is designed to reduce screen time and provide users with essential information efficiently. Previous Nothing devices featured the glowing Glyph Interface for notifications, which has now been replaced by the rear panel screen for enhanced utility.
Distinct from conventional smartphones, the Phone (3) stands out with its transparent case design, offering a glimpse inside the device. It boasts an upgraded triple-lens rear camera system for improved night photography and impressive 4K video recording capabilities.
Powered by a speedy Snapdragon® 8s Gen 4 processor and equipped with a large 5150mAh battery supporting fast charging and wireless charging, the Phone (3) ensures optimal performance. Additionally, the device includes smart AI features to enhance tasks like web searches, photo editing, and inbox organization.
Carl Pei, CEO of Nothing, expressed the company’s vision for the Phone (3) as a flagship model aimed at providing a personalized tech experience, fostering creativity, and empowering users to connect and create uniquely. Available in black and white color options, the Phone (3) comes in two configurations: 12 GB + 256 GB priced at £799 and 16 GB + 512 GB priced at £899.
Global pre-orders for the Phone (3) will commence on July 4, 2025.
