In August 2002, Blazin’ Squad made a splash in the music scene with their first single “Crossroads.” This hip hop collective achieved six top ten hits on the UK Singles Charts and released two top 40 albums before disbanding in 2005.
Their success led to the creation of the RnB-influenced album “The Beginning” and six more top ten singles. During their relatively short career, the group earned two gold records and headlined sold-out arena tours, including a memorable performance at Wembley.
The ten members, who initially connected through school, shared a passion for music. After their entertainment careers slowed down, each member pursued diverse paths. Let’s delve into the current endeavors of familiar faces like Kenzie, Strider, Freek, and Rocky B.
Kenzie emerged as a key figure post-split, diving into the world of television. He gained popularity by finishing second on “Celebrity Big Brother” in 2006 and dating Jodie Marsh. Kenzie later appeared on various shows like “The Weakest Link,” “Never Mind the Buzzcocks,” and “Celebrity Juice,” and penned an autobiography.
In 2014, he participated in ITV’s “Big Reunion,” forming the supergroup 5th Story with other artists. Kenzie has since transformed physically, becoming a personal trainer, bodybuilder, and successful DJ. He cherishes his role as a devoted father to two daughters with his longtime partner.
Marcel, another group member, ventured into reality TV, notably appearing on “Love Island” in 2017. His relationship with Gabby Allen and subsequent book release garnered attention. Marcel returned to the Love Island franchise in 2025 but exited the show shortly after. He found love with Rebecca Vieira, marrying her in 2022, and welcoming a son in 2021, before their separation due to reported infidelity.
Ollie, once part of Blazin’ Squad, transitioned from music to corporate banking, later becoming a music manager. He also dabbled in reality TV on “Tattoo Fixers.” Ollie shares a daughter, Emilia, and humorously claims she’s a fan of his band over others like One Direction.
Chris, a former band member, balanced reunion gigs with careers in window fitting and later as a Field Services Engineer at Virgin Media. Stuart, now a BBC manager, occasionally reunites with his bandmates for performances and enjoys a quiet life with his spouse, Zoe.
Lee, who expressed interest in solo music or acting post-band, has maintained a low profile, focusing on family life with his wife Karina and their children. Sam, another member, continues to perform with the group occasionally while working in the import/export industry.
James and Mus transitioned from Blazin’ Squad to success in the music industry as Mojam. Their collaborations with various artists established their reputation. James, alongside his partner, shares a son and daughter. Mus, who keeps his personal life private, is rumored to be married with children.
Tom, embracing a more peaceful lifestyle post-band, remains connected to music as a DJ. Each former member of Blazin’ Squad has navigated their unique paths since their musical journey together.
