An ITV personality has passed away. Christine Talbot, the anchor for ITV Calendar, announced the unfortunate news of cameraman Rick Pickard’s death by sharing a series of touching photos of her late colleague.
Known affectionately as Uncle Rick, the cameraman had a distinguished career spanning 50 years, covering significant events like the miners’ strikes and the Hillsborough disaster.
On Instagram, the 56-year-old presenter posted a collection of behind-the-scenes pictures, highlighting his work with various crews throughout the years, including memorable moments with Hannah Hauxwell, renowned as the First Woman of the Dales. Talbot expressed her sadness, describing Pickard as one of the kindest individuals she had the privilege to work with in television.
